These are some family photos from visiting my dad. More to come.
I forgot to save all of the pics to the computer so I have to find the flash drive to get the other pics. Keyword there is FIND. If my head wasn't attached I think I'd lose it! Anyway, enjoy what's here with the anticipation of more to come.
Gary has inspired me to keep a journal of his crazy antics. When we adopted Gilbert, I couldn't imagine how much more the dynamics would change. These are my tales, the tales of Gary and his companion Gilbert.

Gwyneth Cataldo turns 11
Yesterday was Gwyneth Cataldo's birthday. Little girl turned 11. I remember meeting my husband's little girl 7 years ago. She ran up to her daddy and whispered in his ear, "Daddy is she real?" Gwyneth stole my heart from that first moment.
Dan misses his little girl so much. Yesterday was hard for him. I miss her so much. She has a sarcastic comment for everything that makes me smile.
I do hope she had a fun birthday, but I do hope she knows we are thinking of her & love her.

Kitty & His Claws
Well, Gilbert got me good today. My hands are all tore up. He even managed to claw the tips of my fingers, which typing is actually pretty painful right now. We need to get him declawed. Gary has his front declawed and I think we need to make it an even playing field. Gilbert has managed to mutilate Dan's arm. Poor guy, his forearm is all cut up from Gilbert jumping on & off Dan while his sits at the computer.
Gary has a new box. He is loving it. It's a box from our new toaster. The box has been sitting in the livingroom for about a week now. I don't have the heart to toss it yet. Gary has been sleeping in it, playing with it and is a little territorial about it. He won't let Gilbert in his new box. Gilbert has been trying & when he is successful, Gary will walk away from it like it's old news. Gilbert, of course, will follow Gary away from the box. When Gilbert is just enough space from the box, Gary will jump right over him and reclaim it. It's very entertaining to watch.
Those two have become very vocal. Gary's quiet merps have become louder and have developed into some form of long conversation he has with Gilbert. I can only imagine what they are saying to one another, but it sounds interesting. Gilbert has a different sound for each of us. Dan's call is a throat meow that ends with a high pitch. Mine is similar, but ends with a low pitch. Gary's call is a much quieter short throat mew. It's really neat watching this kitten learn to communicate. It really fascinates me.
We haven't started them on new food yet. We still have 1/2 a bag of Purina Kitten food. I am anticipating resistance. But we'll see.

Gilbert is one FAT CAT
I made the mistake of giving Gilbert table scraps, Now this kitten is crazy about food! He steals treats from Gary, begs all the time and will even push Gary out if the way when Gary is eating at their bowl! What a piggy!
I am thinking I need to switch cat food. But Gary only eats Purina Kitten food, which I also think is contributing to Gilbert's huge waistline. He is 7 lbs and only 6 months old! Gary weighs 10 lbs!
I know the Purina Kitten food has more fat content and is becoming unhealthy for Gilbert. But I am worried about Gary eating. I need ideas on how to slim down the fatty and make sure Gary still eats. Any ideas?
